"Math was never your strong suit (you preferred organic chem)"
Haha, I get the attempt at humour, where I think “organic chem” is the writer’s euphemism for “getting along with boys”.
This was the opening line to an email newsletter of deals and new retail sites to check out that try to be have cheeky email subject lines and segue to the business of the retailer using the retailer’s name and what-not. But I HATE it when writers assume a patronizing tone about girls being less inclined towards math and harder sciences. I’m particularly miffed because the author shows ignorance that organic chemistry is not at all a walk in the park!
